Hood & Dagger

Hood and Dagger Productions is a registered charity in Winnipeg, Manitoba, founded in January 2024. We produce three-show Seasons of live community theatre, specializing in thrillers, mystery, and adventure.

Winner of the 2025 “Not-for-Profit of the Year” Award, we elevate others and provide a safe, respectful, and positive environment for our volunteer Cast, Crew, and Board members. We provide opportunities for everyday Winnipeggers to get involved in the Arts, whatever your experience level or background. As part of our Casting Principles, it is important that the cast and crew represent the community. We offer three-shows seasons to provide maximum opportunity for everyday Winnipeggers to get involved in the Arts, and cast members may have a speaking role in only one show per season, resulting in even more opportunities for even more people to get involved and realize the mental health benefits and sense of belonging that can come from involvement in the Arts.

Our vision is to Build Community through Community Theatre. We create a community event around our shows by also promoting local businesses and partnering with a local charity for each production. 

Hood and Dagger Productions is not just bringing the Arts to the Community ; we’re bringing the Community to the Arts.
