The Team
Volunteer Board of Directors
Crystal Hood
MBA, BBA, BMus
Founding Member
Crystal utilizes her diverse skill sets to give back to the community through community theatre: carpentry, marketing, business, art, music, website creation, fundraising, and Board governance. Making it to the semi-finals of the Funniest Winnipegger with a Day Job competition, Crystal is semi-funny and uses humour whenever possible to brighten the day. Having lost both of her siblings to mental health disease, spreading positivity and gratitude is what motivates her passion for theatre.
Brian Hood
BComm (Honours), BA (Theatre & Film)
Founding Member
Life has taken Brian on a journey that has afforded him with a wide breadth of experience: artistic direction, acting, professional ballroom dancing, military, business, research, writing, and human resources. His work in the latter has prepared him the most for the characters on stage! Brian is inspired by the power of community theatre to bring people together, to cultivate artistic and personal growth, and the lasting benefits that result. He hopes you’ll join us on this journey!
Bobby Currie
MBA, RPh
Board Member
Bobby brings a background in entrepreneurship, management, and simmering artistic ambitions to the team. A pharmacist and manager by training, Bobby once chose science over art and is thrilled to have found her way back into a creative space. Although Bobby’s previous board experience was for her professional organization, good governance and fundraising never go out of style. She also excels as a sounding board, devil’s advocate, and assistant carpenter. Bobby loves to build new things and feels the best thing to be building right now is a community. She looks forward to supporting the Hood & Dagger team’s innovative and engaging approach to community theatre.
