Over $3,000 donated to the Westminster United Church roof repair fund

PRESS RELEASE: Hood & Dagger Productions raises over $3,000 for Winnipeg Heritage Building Repair.

Hood & Dagger Productions’ first show of its inaugural season was also a fundraiser, and $3,145 was raised to help repair the Westminster United Church’s roof. Westminster is an important Winnipeg heritage building and has been an arts and culture hub for over a century. Donating these funds is part of Hood & Dagger Productions’ mission to Build Community through Community Theatre.

Hood & Dagger Productions is excited to announce their first show: the amazing and immersive live radio play based on the iconic novel full of thrills and adventure, Journey to the Center of the Earth

 

Journey to the Center of the Earth is adapted by John de Lancie from a script by Nat Segaloff, and based on the original story by Jules Verne. Produced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock Illinois.

Thursday, May 30 @ 7:30pm

Friday, May 31 @ 7:30pm

Saturday, June 1 @ 2:30pm and 7:30pm

Sunday, June 2 @ 2:30pm

At the iconic Westminster United Church Concert Hall

Hood & Dagger Productions Inc. is Winnipeg’s newest not-for-profit community theatre and has been accepted as a member into the Association of Community Theatres of Manitoba (ACT). Provincially funded, ACT is a volunteer organization, registered as a Canadian Charity, with a mandate to support amateur theatre and amateur performing arts in Manitoba. Their purpose is to promote the development and growth of community theatre and the performing arts involving amateurs in Manitoba. Hood & Dagger Productions is thrilled to become a member of ACT.
