All Audition Spots are Full
Show Dates: March 13-16, 2025 at the Gas Station Arts Centre
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons, December 4 – 18 and January 4 – March 8, 2025, at 207 Thompson Drive (near Dreamland Diner in St. James).
Line Read: For those who are selected for the cast, the first line read of the play (and handing out scripts) will take place Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the afternoon.
Synopsis: A sly, film-noir inspired comedy that follows a journalist investigating the shocking murder of a celebrity who collapsed in an art gallery surrounded by champagne-sipping socialites. Eccentric lawyers, cryptic poets, and scheming politicians attempt to waylay the investigator’s crusade to uncover truth in a world more interested in gossip.
Warning: Mature Language.
When: Auditions will be held over three days November 20-23, 2024.
What: We are seeking 8-10 enthusiastic performers for this thrilling show. No experience is required to audition. You have the option of preparing a short (less than two minute) monologue for your audition, but it is not required. We will have segments of the play available for cold reads. People from all backgrounds, gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, sexual orientation or identity, or education are welcome. Please contact us if you have accessibility needs for auditions.
We would also be delighted to hear from those interested in off stage positions, including Assistant Director, Assistant Stage Manager, Marketing, Costumes, Community Partnerships, Makeup, Design, Prop Sourcing, Set Building, or Lobby Immersion as well. Just contact us! No experience? No problem!
